Using the Key Fob

• Locking the Car: Press the key fob once. The car will beep once to confirm it is locked.
• Unlocking the Car: Press the key fob twice. The car will beep twice to indicate it is unlocked.

Using the Key Card

• Locking and Unlocking: Hold the key card near the circle located on the exterior of the driver's side window while standing outside the vehicle.
• Inside the Vehicle: Select the lock icon on the touchscreen to lock the doors. Alternatively, the doors will automatically lock within 15 seconds after you start driving. When you shift into park, the doors will automatically unlock.

Entering Your Tesla:

• Push the tallest part of the door handle with your thumb to eject it.
• Grab the ejected handle and pull to open the door.

Exiting Your Tesla:

• Press the button on top of the armrest handle to release the door.
• After exiting, firmly push the doors to close them securely.

Using the Key Fob:

• Place the key fob anywhere inside the vehicle.
• Once seated with your seatbelt fastened, press the brake pedal and shift into gear to power on the car.

Using the Key Card:

• Place the key card on the console, located behind the cup holders.
• Ensure you are seated with your seatbelt secured, then press the brake pedal and shift into gear to activate the car.
• You can move the key card after the car has been turned on.

To operate the gear selector in your vehicle: Behind the right-hand side of the steering wheel, you'll find the gear selector stalk. Push the stalk up to engage reverse and down for drive. To put the car in park, press the button located at the end of the gear stick. The selected gear will be displayed on the touchscreen.

Regenerative braking in Teslas operates by automatically applying brakes when you lift your foot off the accelerator, enhancing battery charge and extending drive time. Instead of coasting to a halt, the vehicle decelerates quickly. While it differs from conventional braking methods, drivers typically adapt within a short distance.

Your Tesla will power down in the following ways:

• Automatically upon exiting the vehicle, removing the key fob or key card, and closing all doors.
• If the key fob or key card remains inside, the car will remain accessible and drivable.
• Using the touchscreen to manually power down the vehicle

To adjust the side-view mirrors, tap the car icon on the touchscreen to access Quick Controls, then choose Mirrors. Select either the left or right mirror, and use the left scroll wheel on the steering wheel to make adjustments.

To adjust the front seats electronically, use the three buttons located on the outer side of each seat. The back seats can fold down entirely if needed, but only the center headrest in the backseat is adjustable.

To adjust the steering wheel, tap the car icon on the touchscreen to access Quick Controls, then choose Steering Wheel. Use the left scroll wheel on the steering wheel to make your adjustments.

Forward and Blind Spot Collision Warnings offer visual and audible alerts when a potential collision with a vehicle or obstacle is detected ahead or in your blind spot.

Tesla vehicles are equipped with Automatic Emergency Braking, which detects vehicles, pedestrians, and objects in front of the car and applies the brakes to mitigate impact. Despite this feature, the driver remains responsible for braking at all times.

Lane Departure Avoidance uses corrective lane-centering steering when a potential collision or unintentional lane departure is detected. Despite this assistance, the driver is always responsible for maintaining control of the vehicle.

The charge port is positioned near the driver’s side taillight. You can open the charge port cover by either tapping the touchscreen or pressing once on the cover itself. When using a Tesla charging station, simply press the connector button on the charging station to initiate the opening of the cover. After you remove the connector, the charge port cover will close automatically.

The charge port logo indicates different statuses:

• Green Flashing: Charging in progress.
• Solid Green: Charging complete.
• Yellow: Disconnect and reconnect the connector.
• Red: There's an issue with the charging station; try a different dock.

To manage the cabin climate in your Tesla, utilize the touchscreen controls. Tap the temperature icon (degree number) to set the desired temperature, adjust the fan speed by selecting the fan icon, and activate seat heaters using the seat icons. For defrosting, both front and rear window options are available.

Dual-zone climate control is available. To activate it, tap the fan icon and then press the Sync button. When the Sync button is grey, the driver and front-seat passenger can individually set their preferred temperatures. When the Sync button is blue, the air conditioning will synchronize to a single set temperature.
